Tottenham Legend Van der Vaart claims Harry Maguire is an amateur

Harry Maguire has been compared to amateurs by former Tottenham midfielder Rafael van der Vaart. Van der Vaart believes his fellow countryman Virgil van Dijk is worth £300million if the Man United was signed for a world-record fee of £80m.
The former Netherlands international said he could find 'amateurs' who could do the same job as the England defender. If I am going to play with the amateurs on Sunday afternoon, I can easily find three who can do this. I mean that seriously. "A bit silly to say, but I really think so." The ex-Real Madrid star had previously criticized the 26-year-old when his country defeated England 3-1 in the Nations League semis, describing him as "the worst player on the pitch". “It’s funny because during the Nations League, I was doing work for Dutch television. “And I remember we were saying ‘Harry Maguire was by far the worst player on the pitch’. “"And then two months later, £80-£90m? Unbelievable," Van der Vaart told Sky Sports. Maguire was on parade during United's 1-1 draw with Liverpool as he made ten clearances before the Red Devils' defence was finally breached by Adam Lallana's late equalizer.
