Barcelona make staggering £155m final offer for want-away PSG star Neymar
Barcelona representatives are reportedly in France as they hope to finalise Neymar's deal with Paris Saint Germain before the transfer window shuts.
The Catalan club president Josep Bartomeu alongside the sporting director Eric Abidal led the delegation as they prepare final offer for the Brazilian star. Earlier this summer, Barca asked the Ligue 1 champions to release the player for them on loan with an option to sign him permanently in a deal around £155 million next summer. Daily Mail however report that the Parisians turned down the deal, but are now said to be interested in a deal that includes £90m plus Ousmane Dembele and Nelson Semedo. The publication claims Barca are reluctant to part ways with the players PSG want in the deal to allow Neymar leave. Thomas Tuchel earlier this month said that they will not allow the world's most expensive player go without signing a replacement for him. According to Daily Mail, Neymar's departure just after two years of joining them would seem like a political defeat, while it will deal a major blow on Qatar Sports Investments. Barcelona are interested in signing their former player owing to the many injuries rocking the team at the moment.
Lionel Messi is just returning to training from calf injury, while Ousmane Dembele and Luis Suarez are doubtful. For PSG, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe have also been ruled out for close to a month. Barcelona signed Antoine Griezmann in a deal €120 million, but the club's president Josep Bartemeo wants to re-sign Neymay before his reign expires in 2021.
