Liverpool coach Klopp makes final decision on the transfer of Barcelona star Coutinho
Jurgen Klopp who is the manager of Premier League side Liverpool has ruled out the possibility of the club to sign Philippe Coutinho this summer claiming his side won't spend big.
Brazil international Philippe Coutinho left Liverpool in January 2018, and since he got to Barcelona, he has been struggling to find his rhythm. His performances last season most especially in Barcelona's Champions League defeat against Liverpool made Catalans fans livid and asked for him to be sold.
After the end of the 2018/19 season in Europe, Philippe Coutinho was linked with a return to Liverpool and also Manchester United. Klopp has now insisted that although he still holds Coutinho in high regard, he is not planning a Merseyside reunion with his former ace. He added that Liverpool won't be able to spend big this summer having splashed more than £300m over the last two years on new players. "In general, Phil Coutinho helps each team in the world, still 100%. "It's not about that. I like Phil, I think he's a fantastic footballer and all that stuff, but it would be a big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big-money signing and it's not our year for that. "It's just not possible. As I said, having him would make each team better - us included - but I really hope that he finds his luck at Barcelona, Klopp explained according to ESPN.
