Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen increased his goal tally in the French League to six after just seven appearances for Lille since he joined them this summer.
        The Nigeria international inspired Les Dogues to 2-0 win over Strasbourg in their midweek encounter at the Stade Pierre Mauroy on Wednesday night, September 25. Osimhen handed his side the lead with just two minutes to the end of the first half after scoring from a close range. The 20-year-old benefited from a counter-attacking move from his teammates before eventually putting the ball beyond Matz Sels in the 43rd minute. That was not all as the youngster also created an assist for their second goal in the 64th minute converted by Loic Remy. Meanwhile, the victory helped Lille to retain their third position with 13 points on the French League table just two points behind leaders Paris Saint Germain.
