Ex super eagles star goes into golfing 7 months after retiring
Former Nigerian professional footballer Peter Odemwingie has been certified to pursue a career in golf seven months after retiring from the round leather game.
Odemwingie who played 63 games with 10 goals for the Super Eagles took to his official social media page to announce the latest development about himself. The former West Brom and Stoke City forward revealed his membership into the Professional Golfers Association (PGA). He was also given a slot for training at the University of Birmingham foundation degree in professional golf studies. In April when Peter Odemwingie announced his retirement from football, he confirmed his interest to move into coaching and his latest action will come as a surprise. During his active playing time for West Brom, Peter Odemwingie won three Premier League player of the month awards and scored 30 goals for West Bromwich Albion in 87 games. He took to his instragam page to announce that he has being accepted into the Professional Golfers Association.
Odemwingie last played for Nigeria at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil under late coach Stephen Keshi.
