China imposes Oil and Textile sanctions on North Korea

China has agreed to limit its oil exports to North Korea in compliance with the recent sanctions approved by the United Nations Security Council last week.
China's Ministry of Commerce has disclosed in a statement on its website on Saturday that China would limit exports of refined petroleum products from October 1, and ban condensates and liquefied natural gas immediately.
For many decades, North Korea has mainly generated foreign revenue through the sale of textile and these new sanctions are a step part of what the U.S. has repeatedly referred to as biting.
Although it is still too soon to tell the potential effects of these sanctions, it could take months for any of the effects to become noticeable.
