Allegri delays returning back to coaching, waiting on Man united to sack Solskjaer

Max Allegri is reportedly on standby to become Manchester United's next manager if Ole Gunnar Solskajer is given the boot. It is understood that the former Juventus boss who has been out of work since the end of last summer has delayed his return to management. Allegri won five straight Serie A titles and played in two Champions League finals during his spell with the Bianconeri. The 52-year-old has been linked in the past with a managerial role at Old Trafford as Solskjaer has been tipped by bookies to be sacked. Daily Mail claims Allegri has deliberately refused to accept job offers from European clubs in a bid get the juicy managerial appointment at Old Trafford. And it is understood if Allegri came into Manchester he would insist on having a defined structure at the club. Allegri had previously worked under sporting directors during his spell with Juventus and AC Milan but United currently have nobody in that role. The Italian gaffer is said to have admirers all over Europe and would be the sought of high-profile signing United chiefs want. Currently Man United are in a bad shape after losing 3-1 in their last match to arch rival Man City and are currently 5 point behind 4th place Chelsea on the premiership table.
