Super Eagles and Leicester star, Wilfred Ndidi, has been ruled out of pitch action till February with the ace midfielder set to undergo minor surgery. Ndidi was a surprise omission in the Foxes squad that faced Aston Villa on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg at King Power Stadium. Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has now disclosed that he picked up a knock in training on Tuesday, January 7, and may be left on the sidelines for close to four weeks. "Wilf took a knock in training yesterday, which unfortunately means he might need a slight operation tomorrow," Rodgers said. "That'll put him out for a few weeks, but it's not overly serious, so hopefully, going into February, he'll be fit and ready to go again." Ndidi joined Leicester in a mouth-watering £17m deal from KRC Genk in 2017 and has bagged two goals for the Premier League second leader. Meanwhile a lot of Nigerians took to their social media handles to show that displeasure of the omission of Ndidi from the CAF best 11 team shortlist of the year in the just concluded CAF African player of the year annual awards. A lot of his fans were of the opinion that Wilfred Nididi was one of the best midfielders in Europe's top 5 leagues last season and at such ought to have made the shortlist.
