Ballon D'Or 2019: List of top 30 players in the world
Messi's biggest rival Cristiano Ronaldo came third as Liverpool's Virgil Van Dijk was in second position. Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah were ranked in the fourth and fifth positions respectively after helping the Reds won last season's Champions League. The 30-man shortlist was dominated by Premier League stars after three teams from the English topflight division made it through to the semi-finals of the Champions League last season.
