Ballon D’or 2019: Football fans react, speak on Ronaldo, Messi
A cross section of fans have reacted to Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi winning the Ballon d’Or 2019. Messi scooped the prize ahead of Virgil van Dijk, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane. That makes the Argentine superstar the first player to win the Ballon d’Or for the sixth time. Ronaldo remains on five. Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah finished fifth, followed by PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, while Salah’s team-mate Alisson Becker was in seventh. While some fans jubiliated and congratulated Messi on his win, others said Juventus star, Christiano Ronaldo deserved to win.
