Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Bony could be spared his frustrations at Manchester City, with West Ham United keen on signing the player on a short-term loan according to reports.
The Elephants attacker has been sidelined at the Citizens under new coach Pep Guardiola and is in need of a move away from the Etihad Stadium to revitalise his career.
West Ham have enquired after the 27-year-old West African, with the London club hoping to bring him on loan for a short term deal.
The Hammers are in need of attacking reinforcements after new Ghanaian signing Andre Ayew was ruled out for up to four months with a thigh injury, while Andy Carroll is out of commission for up to six weeks with a knee problem.
It also said Bony has the option of a lucrative move to China in the January transfer window, but would be open to a short-term move which would offer him first team football.
The Ivory Coast national team would surely support such a move for one of their top strikers, with a view to their defence of the Africa Cup of Nations title in Gabon 2017.
