According to emerging Reports, Security operatives on Wednesday, November 27, prevented Dino Melaye from entering into headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja.
        Vanguard reports that Melaye, who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Kogi west senatorial re-run election, was in possession of what seemed to be additional petition about alleged irregularities in the poll before he was stopped by the security operatives. The security operatives were also reported to have prevented journalists who were reporting on the incident from entering the office. The Nation reports that a camera belonging to one of the journalists was seized but later released when Melaye intervened. This is the second time Melaye will be visiting the INEC headquarters over the alleged irregularities that occurred in the Kogi west senatorial election. He said he was received by the INEC secretary, Rose Orianran-Anthony and the national commissioner Festus Okoye. Meanwhile, ahead of Saturday, November 30, supplementary election in Kogi west senatorial district area of Kogi state, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Smart Adeyemi, has said that nothing would stop his rival and candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dino Melaye, from defeat. He made the statement on Friday, November 22, in Lokoja, the state capital, while urging his party members not to over relax but give their all to win the election. Meanwhile the APC have come out to accuse Dino Malaye as the mastermind behind pockets of violence witnessed around polling units across the state in the November 16 elections. The APC also said it had in it's possession a video clip of Dino Malaye sharing money to voters on election day.
