The Leader of the Britain's fourth largest political party has labelled himself as a proud saboteur of the brexit process as he calls on members of other political parties to put differences aside and join his cause of fighting the country's imminent divorce from the European Union.

Vince Cable, leader of the Liberal democrats made this call with the aim of gathering enough support to call of Brexit.

"I want our party to lead the fight against Brexit," Cable said in his address to the party's autumn conference. He called for a new referendum, describing Brexit as a looming disaster.

"In the real world, we have yet to experience the full impact of leaving Europe. But we've had a taste of what is to come in the fall of the value of the pound," Cable said.

The Liberal Democrats have 12 representatives in a 650-seat parliament in the UK and Vince Cable served as a minister during the 2010-2015 coalition government between the Liberal democrats and the Conservatives.

Mr Cable also voiced his concerns regarding the potential outcome of Britain's negotiations with the EU and that the public must be afforded a second opportunity to vote based on these outcomes.

"At the end of these tortuous divorce negotiations, the British public must be given a vote on the outcome," he said.
