Melaye apologizes to Senate, after refusing to apologize to Tinubu

Senator Dino Melaye (APC, Kogi State), on Tuesday tendered a formal apology to the Senate, over his reported verbal attack on his female colleague, Senator Oluremi Tinubu (APC, Lagos State).
The apology was made at a closed-door session of the Senate, during which both Senators were asked to make peace with one another with apologies.
According to senate sources, Senator Melaye however, vowed never to apologize to Senator Tinubu. He nevertheless apologized to the Senate as an institution, after persuasion from colleagues.
His apology nonetheless, Senator Tinubu went ahead yesterday, to write petitions against him to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and the APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
