Bauchi PDP attempts resurection, reconciles factions

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders in Bauchi State met on how to reposition and reconcile the party and its members.
The stakeholders, in a meeting held at the weekend, agreed to reposition the party to the next level and reconcile aggrieved members and factions of the party.
The state party Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Yaro, said the meeting was aimed at putting to an end all factions, and also preach to one another the gospel of unity in the political system within the state and the nation at large.
He said the party will constitute Reconciliation and Finance Committee that will carry out the responsibility of bringing people to realise the goal of the party.

In his remark, the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Bala Mohammed, said politicians should not allow prolonged malice and animosity to interfere with the political will among members which would hinder the success of the party.

"I have never said that I was leaving the PDP because I lost the seat of the National Chairman; that is not my kind of politics.
"Whoever feels I have offended him, I will ask for forgiveness because this is politics, there is no room for institutionalised animosity", he said.
Mohammed called on party members to ensure that all fences are mended in order to bring the party to its real upper status.

"I will not leave PDP because this is not my kind of politics", he told the meeting, adding "I have never said that I was leaving the PDP because I lost the seat of the national chairman".

"Whoever feels I have offended him, I will ask for forgiveness because this is politics, there is no room for institutionalized animosity,'' he said.

Also speaking Senator Abdul Ningi, said justice and equity should be done to all members who are expected to be self-disciplined in order to achieve a common set goal for the party.

"We all need to come back and make the party great again through collective efforts of ensuring that there is no more factions,'' he said.
