Kaleri, a neighbourhood of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital was on Sunday night attacked by suicide bombers suspected to be members of the Boko Haram insurgent group.
The attack which claimed only the lives of the suicide bombers left three persons injured said to be currently receiving treatment at the state specialist hospital in Maiduguri.
The community, believed to be a hideout for Boko Haram, witnessed its first attack at about 7:00pm when one of the five suicide bombers reportedly set off her IED after walking up to one of the houses near Kaleri market and knocking at the gate, pretending to be a visitor.
The others (two female, an elderly man and a young boy) quickly denoted their suicide vests also killing themselves in the process.
