Reports from INDEPENDENT has it that President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to resign within a given time limit if he does not get completely better. Since the President left Nigeria for London on a medical vacation in May 2017, the administration has continued to battle with numerous rumours about his health and potential return to the country.

Reports of his vow to resign within a specific timeline were confirmed with a presidential aide who failed to provide the specific period given by the president.

"The president is not desperate to cling on to power if his health cannot carry him. I can tell you authoritatively that he has given a timeline that if he doesn't recover fully on a specific date, he will file in his resignation letter and if you know President Buhari very well, he meant what he said".

"That is why Nigerians who love the president and his efforts in restoring Nigeria's lost glory should continue to pray for his quick recovery. It will be to our disservice if he dies as some people are wishing him"�, he said.

This report would be a soothing music to the ears of recent protesters in Abuja who are currently demanding that the President resumes or resigns from office.
