Jang blasts Lalong over EFCC comments

Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, has been blasted by his predecessor, the current Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District, Jonah Jang, over the latter's alleged continuous efforts to discredit his (Jang's) administration and efforts at developing the state.
It will be recalled that Governor Lalong had told reporters at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, that he was concerned over the failure of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to prosecute Senator Jang despite petitions to the commission.
However, in a statement released through his aide, Clinton Garuba, Jang chided Lalong, while lauding his own record as Governor.
It read: "In the face of these outrageous allegations, Senator Jonah Jang is not in any way disturbed, neither is he moved because his record as Governor of Plateau State marks him out as the best Governor the state has had since the advent of democracy.
"The Senator and indeed, the people of Plateau State, have given Governor Simon Lalong unwavering support since his ascension to power, and they continue to do so.
"But each time he faces the reality of his accidental governorship, he turns to the former to blame. Only this time, EFCC and Plateau journalists made his list.
"Notably, critical agencies of Government like EFCC are not run by infantile whims or impulsive wishes. That is why the sterling record of performance as exemplified on the Plateau by Senator Jonah Jang could not keep him beyond some few hours at the EFCC when he was invited sometime ago, and it would remain so even if Lalong himself were to head the commission.
"Lalong's cluelessness, unpreparedness, and rudder-less style of governance is ever becoming more obvious as a testament to the glowing achievements of the man he now chooses to mortify."
