Fire outbreak at Federal Inland Revenue Service headquarters in Abuja
Nigeria has recorded another fire incident as parts of the headquarters of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) in Abuja, today, October 28, went up in flames.
According to Vanguard, An FIRS official said the outbreak affected a store. The news outlet, quoting sources at the headquarters, claimed only a canteen used by the agency’s staff members at the annex was affected. Meanwhile, Wahab Gbadamosi, federal inland revenue service spokesman, has reportedly reacted to the fire incident. The news outlet reports that Gbadamosi, who confirmed the news, however said the inferno was contained from spreading further by firemen. He added that the FIRS would let the public know if sensitive materials were destroyed in the fire incident.
