England vs Nigeria: Chelsea striker, Abraham finally decides on country to play for
Chelsea striker, Tammy Abraham has finally decided to pick England despite Nigeria’s move for his services. Nigeria’s FA president, Amaju Pinnick had earlier told Abraham to choose the Super Eagles because he has better chances of playing regularly for the team.
Abraham’s international future remains a subject of discussion among pundits and coaches due to his eligibility to represent either Nigeria or England. Abraham has featured in two friendly matches for England against Germany and Brazil in 2017 but he is still eligible to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the future. But the Telegraph is now reporting that Abraham has decided to remain committed to his country of birth, England. The newspaper reports that the 21-year-old wants to break into manager, Gareth Southgate’s Three Lion squad. Abraham was not included in England’s Euro 2020 qualifiers squad that will tackle Bulgaria and Kosovo on September 7 and 10 respectively.
