Nigerian Man Accused Of Killing US Student Faces New Charges Of Defiling Minor
Nigerian immigrant, Ayoola Ajayi, who is facing charges in the United States for allegedly killing University of Utah student, MacKenzie Lueck, has been hit with 19 new charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Prosecutors said they discovered child pornography in Ajayi’s computer with images of children as young as four years old during investigation into Lueck’s death. The new charges were filed on Tuesday. Ajayi, 31, has still not entered pleas to counts of murder and kidnapping of the student. A probable cause statement for the new charges does not indicate any link between pornography and Lueck. Ajayi was arrested in June after SWAT personnel responded to an apartment complex in Salt Lake City. Lueck’s last communications were with Ajayi and both parties’ cell phones were at Hatch Park within less than a minute of each other. That overlap occurred shortly before Lueck’s online/cellular activity ceased. Born in Nigeria, Ajayi appears to have briefly explored a career in modelling, according to a profile on ModelMangement.com. Listing his height as six-foot-one, Ajayi goes on to describe himself as “tall, buffed, funny,” as well as “a victim, Romantic, Violent and character actor. The former information technology specialist for the US Army also recently worked for Dell and Goldman Sachs.
