After an amazing football season that ended with the Europa League trophy, Paul Pogba of Manchester United has been named the Europa League's Best Player for the 2016/2017 Season.
The French midfielder was shortlisted alongside club team mates Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan but eventually came out on top.
In responce to the announcement, Pogba expressed his delight and hopes Man Utd experiences an equally successful season this term.
He said "I'm really honoured to be the first to win the best player for the UEFA Europa League. Hopefully this season will be as good as last season -- let's see!"
