After 29years at the club, Ryan Giggs officially leaves Manchester United

After a 29year relationship with Manchester United, Ryan Giggs has officially parted ways with the club.

Giggs began his career at Old Trafford at the age of 14, when he signed schoolboy forms for the club. At age 17, he broke into United's first team; and from there, went on to become a legend at the club, winning 13 Premier League titles and a host of medals.

After retiring as a player, Giggs took on a coaching role at the club; and for the past 2 seasons, he was Louis van Gaal's number 2.

After United hired new Manager, Jose Mourinho, Giggs was offered a new coaching role under the former Chelsea Coach; but he refused, as he felt he deserved the role of Manager.

But he was overlooked for the top job due to his lack of managerial skills, and his links to Van Gaal's failed regime.

Giggs departs from Old Trafford, setting his sights on coaching elsewhere- and most likely to looking to gain much-needed managerial experience; perhaps, for a future return to United.
