After being denied access into the PDP National Secretariat by security operatives this morning, embattled former Chairman of the opposition party, Ali Modu Sheriff, has finally gained access into the building.
Mr. Sheriff told reporters at the secretariat that he was resuming duties based on a court order.
He however left the secretariat and reportedly went to see the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase.
He returned to the secretariat at around noon with his supporters, but police officers guarding the complex insisted they would only allow him to enter the building if his supporters left.
Sheriff then exited the secretariat around noon, but returned after his supporters had dispersed; going on to address the press.
