A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has reduced the bail conditions it earlier granted the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh.
Justice Abang Okon had on the 19 of January granted Metuh bail in the sum of N400m with sureties who have landed properties only in Maitama.
Following this judgement, Metuh's counsel team filed an application for variation of bail.
Ruling on the application of variation of bail, Abang held that the sureties can now be owners of properties in other parts of Abuja apart from Maitama.
Mr. Metuh, who is being prosecuted for allegedly receiving N400 million arms money, has been in detention since his arrest over three weeks ago.
The court granted him bail on a N400 million bond, and N200 million each from two sureties.
On Wednesday, Justice Okon Abang, who gave the initial order, said assets from other parts of Abuja would also be accepted.
He advised Mr. Metuh to appeal if he was not satisfied with the conditions.
