After signing a 5 year deal with the Catalan Club on Monday, Ousmane Dembele has become the most expensive player to be signed in Barcelona's rich history. The Spanish giants had to pay an initial fee of €105 million.

This fee could potentially rise up to €145 million if add-ons are activated.

arca announced on Friday that they had reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign the France international and the player promptly arrived at the club by Sunday and completed his medical on monday just before signing his contract.

After signing this super lucrative contract, Dembele was excited and expressed gratitute to all who made the deal happen.

"I'm really pleased to form part of the Barca family," Dembele said after signing his contract. "I have always wanted to play for Barca since I was a kid. I watched all their matches.

"I'm really happy to now be part of the best club in the world with the best players in the world. I hope to win lots of trophies and titles here. I'm hoping forward to a good year, a successful year and looking forward to playing here in this stadium.
