Oshiomole Bribed Former Speaker Ativie with Jeeps

- Oshiomole gave Ativie several cars in acknowledgement of the sacrifice she was about to make.

- Ativie claims the cars were given for her personal use rather than official.

- Has a letter of ownership transfer personally signed by Oshiomole.
Former speaker and current member of the Edo State House of Assembly Mrs. Elizabeth Ativie has disclosed that Former Governor of of the State, Adams Oshiomole gave her some cars for her personal use.

Mrs Ativie made this disclosure whilst refusing to return the cars now that she is no longer speaker or deputy speaker of the House of Assembly.

According to the Lawmaker, Oshiomole gave the cars to her "in acknowledgement of the sacrifices she was expected to make for the peace, security and well-being of the state".

This diclosure comes after the current speaker, Kabiru Adjoto directed the Clerk of the house to retrieve all official items from the former Speaker (Okonoboh) and his deputy (Ativie) who were recently impeached.

However, Ativie has refused to comply with this directive as she claims the vehicles which include a 2016 Lexus jeep, one Prado jeep and two Hilux vans, were officially given to her for personal use by Oshiomhole.

The lawmaker issued a letter that was duly signed by her Lawyer (Olayiwola Afolabi) to the Clerk of the House indicating that the vehicles were given to her with a letter signed by Oshiomole himself on the 19th of June 2016.

Ativie's Lawyer said "After the vehicles were given, our client went to the licence office with the said letter and registered the vehicles in her name.

"In the exercise of her bona fide right of ownership, our client has sold one of the vehicles (Lexus jeep, 2016 model)," Ativie's lawyer said in the letter.
