The United Nations has called on the Iraqi government to intervene in facilitating the return of displaced Sunni families who are attempting to return home.

Al Jazeers reports that some of these families have raised complaints that the Shia Militia currently stand in their way home with some also seeking bribes from the displaced families.

Although Shia-led forces regained control of the town of Jurf Al Sakhar from ISIL two years ago, many families continue to live in uncertainty in Northern Iraq.
