The Democratic Party presented a united front on Tuesday, as Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, a former contender for the Democratic Nomination for President, said he is now supporting his former rival, Hillary Clinton, in her effort to become the next US President.
Sanders spoke at a school in New Hampshire, with Clinton at his side, and Democratic supporters waving signs which read "Stronger Together."
"It is no secret that Hillary Clinton and I disagree on a number of issues," said Sanders. "That's what this campaign has been about. That's what democracy is about."
But according to Sanders, Clinton is the best candidate for the nation on many important issues such as income inequality, climate change and immigration.
The Vermont Senator stated he would be in every part of the country campaigning for the former Secretary of State, in order to make sure they keep the Republican Candidate, Donald Trump, out of the White House.
The show of unity comes two weeks before the Democratic National Convention holds in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
