In a major coordinated attack at Instanbul's Ataturk Airport on Tuesday, three suicide bombers killed up to 50 people and wounded about 147.
Before blowing-up themselves, the terrorists initiated a major gun battle with security personnel; opening fire with AK-47s.
One of the terrorists was wrestled to the ground by a hero policeman, just seconds before he detonated his explosives at the entrance of the airport's International Arrivals Terminal, according to eyewitnesses.
Instanbul's Ataturk Airport is the third busiest Airport in Europe, and the terrorists are believed to have been trying to pass through the security X-ray machines, when they were stopped by security officers and carried out their lethal attack.
At least one of the attackers is reported to have been a foreign national.
Turkish authorities believe ISIS is behind the attack.
