A doctor has been accused of murdering her husband after a threesome with a teenager.
The doctor, Chamari Liyanage allegedly beat her husband, Dinendra Athukorala to death with a hammer out of fear that he would reveal that they were having sex with a 17-year-old, the Supreme Court of Western Australia was told in a hearing.
According to metro.co.uk, prosecutors have claimed Liyanage grew tired of her husband's sexual demands.
The court heard how he would suggest the couple had sex with other women as well.
It got to a stage that she was no longer prepared to put up with his behaviour, prosecutor Nick Cogan has said.
The teenager told jurors she met the Sri Lankan pair at a dinner party in 2014 and had several encounters with them in their home.
She told the court how the couple waxed her legs.
They would give her gifts including a video camera. At one point Athukorala got down on one knee and begged she take the presents.
Police arrived on the scene in Geraldton after Liyanage made a call to an emergency number which she claims she can't remember.
He was found lying on a mattress covered in blood which had splattered on walls and blinds.
When asked what happened, Liyanage said she didn't know.
Liyanage pleaded not guilty to murdering her husband. The trial continues and is due to go on for a number of three weeks.
