Morocco Arrests Belgian Man Linked to Paris Attackers

Morocco's Interior Ministry says that police have arrested a Belgian man of Moroccan descent who had a "direct relationship" to the attackers who killed 130 people around Paris on Nov. 13.He says it has arrested a Belgian national linked to the men who carried out the Paris attacks.

The ministry said in a statement that the man was arrested Monday near Casablanca, after traveling through Turkey, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.

The man who has been detained is of Moroccan origin and had fought in Syria with al-Nusra front before joining so-called Islamic State, Reuters reported.

The Paris attacks are believed to have been at least partly planned in Brussels.

Belgian police have arrested several people as part of their investigation.
