Inter Milan become joint top leaders after crucial win against AC Milan

The Milan derby produced a six-goal thriller as Inter Milan defeated their rivals AC Milan in an entertaining 4-2 derby win. Antonio Conte's side have now moved to level on points with leaders Juventus after coming from two-goals down to beat their city neighbors.

Two first half goals from Ante Rebic and Zlatan Ibrahimovic put AC in a comfortable position but Marcelo Brozovic and Matias Vecino brought Inter back on level terms within eight minutes after the restart. Stefan De Vrij and Romelu Lukaku's late goals ensured all three points for the Nerazzurri as they remain in contention for a Serie A title. The match was evenly contest in the opening exchanges but Hakan Calhanoglu came closest as he long range effort struck the post. But five minutes before half time, Ibrahimovic flicked on a header for Croatian striker Rebic as he slammed home his shot to make it 1-0. Right on the stroke of half time Ibrahimovic made it 2-0 as the Swedish striker was left unmarked as he headed home a corner Franck Kessie. After the interval Inter played with more intent and they were rewarded as Brozovic volleyed from outside of the 18-yard area to make it 2-1 in the 51st minute. Two minutes later, Vecino put Inter back on level terms after he took a first time shot from Alexis Sanchez's cut-back to make it 2-2. In the 70th minute, Inter went ahead in the match as De Vrij produced a fine header from an Antonio Candreva's corner and 3-2 it was. Inter were not done yet as Lukaku headed home a Victor Moses cross to seal victory for the Nerazzurri as it ended 4-2.
