Cristiano Ronaldo has opened on why he does not allow his mum watch his big matches anymore. Speaking on Piers Morgan interview, the Portugal international revealed his mum gets too nervous which is a major concern for him.
The 34-year-old has won five Champions League trophies, five Ballon d'Ors and a host of league titles in England, Spain and Italy. At national team level, Ronaldo has also won the European championships and the newly introduced Nations League tournament. But in the wake of all the big events, Ronaldo claimed his mum gets too emotional when it comes to big games which has landed her in the hospital on different occasions. Ronaldo told Morgan : “She gets so nervous, I don’t understand why. “She is not allowed now to watch big games. “I get friends to stay with her and she goes for walks around the house. She fainted two times in the stadium. She is nervous. “It is impossible, I don’t have a father anymore and I don’t want to lose my mum, so I told her ‘you will not watch semi-finals or finals anymore’.
