Euro 2020: Man City star De Bruyne sets new record as Belgium beat Scotland in Group I fixture

Scotland vs Belgium ended 4-0 in favour of Roberto Martinez's side as they maintain their 100 per cent record in the Euro 2020 qualifiers. Kevin De Bruyne became the first player in history to provide three assists in a European qualifier during the commanding win at Hampden Park.
        It was a one-man show as the Man City midfielder was involved in all the four goals, assisting three and also getting his name on the score sheet. With just 10 minutes played De Bruyne found space and passed the ball to Romelu Lukaku in the 18-yard box who slotted home the first goal and his 49th international strike. 1-0 to Belgium. De Bruyne was also into the thick of things as he drilled in a low cross in the 24th minute to Thomas Vermaelen who scored Belgium's second, 2-0 it was to the away side. The 28-year-completed his hat-trick of assists in the 32nd minute as he found Tottenham's center-half Toby Alderweireld, who headed home from a corner to make it 3-0.He then wrapped up a five-star performance eight minutes from time as he struck a first-time shot to make it 4-0 as Belgium continued their unbeaten run in Group I. They now have 18 points from six matches to remain top of the group as Scotland dropped to fifth position with six points from the same number of matches.
