Chelsea star pictured in Italy amid big move to Italian giants
Chelsea defender, Davide Zappacosta, is inching close to completing a loan move to AS Roma after the Serie A giants shared photos of the right-back at the club. Zappacosta has endured a tumultuous spell at Stamford Bridge after failing to nail a starting place at the club.
The defender has been limited to just 52 appearances for the Blues, as former manager Maurizio Sarri preferred Spaniard Cesar Azpilicueta at the right-back. It was thought the arrival of Frank Lampard would afford Zappacosta a fresh lease of life, but the Englishman has also stuck to Azpilicueta. With the availability of Azpilicueta who also doubles up as club captain and promising youngster Reece James in the squad, it was evident the Italian would find it difficult breaking into Lampard's starting line up.
