Lampard told to sell Jorginho when he becomes Chelsea manager
Former Chelsea goalkeeper, Shaka Hislop, has told Frank Lampard to sell Jorginho, if he replaces Maurizio Sarri as Chelsea manager. Sarri’s departure from Stamford Bridge was confirmed on Sunday, with the Italian set to join Juventus.
Jorginho arrived with Sarri from Napoli last summer, signing a five-year deal with the Blues but Hislop isn’t convinced he is suitable for the Premier League. Speaking to ESPN, Hislop said: “As far as Jorginho goes, if Sarri’s announced on Monday, I’m Chelsea, I sell Jorginho on Tuesday. Give myself six weeks or whatever it is to find a replacement to spend that money. The appeal I think pushes any hearing beyond the close of the transfer window. Lampard is odds-on favourite to be named the new Chelsea boss, with reports claiming he has spoke with Russian owner, Roman Abramovich.
