- Jose Mourinho blasts English FA for giving injection to Phil Jones without permission from Man United.
- Says that the English medical team should have consulted Manchester United before administering the injections.
- Phil Jones still in recovery from critical injury.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has strongly criticised the English Football Association for administering injections to defender Phil Jones without proper consultations with United's medical team.
Phil Jones who is still recuperating after long periods on the sidelines due to injury recently received a call-up from the English National team in their last round of World Cup qualifiers and international friendlies.
Jose Mourinho made this comment while addressing journalists in the build up to Manchester United's next tie in the UEFA Champions League away at FC Basel.
Mourinho told a press conference at St Jakob-Park on Tuesday: "I think it's a conversation between doctors.
"Because I'm not a doctor, I just get information from my doctor, and the information was they consult my doctor in relation to Phil Jones with a little problem in the knee when the national team starts working, and then no more contact, and then the local injections before the match.
"We were not informed, apart from that I don't have to speak with Southgate, I just wish [for the] good and want him to be successful."
