- Liverpool knocked out of Carabao Cup.
- Defeated by Leicester 2-0.
- Poor defensive run continues this season.
Another season, another tournament, another defeat and yet the same troubles keep plaguing Liverpool Football Club.
Liverpool were defeated by Leicester City in the Carabao Cup (Formerly Carling or League Cup) by 2-0.
Analysts and supporter have been very critical of the team following this latest defeat and have called on Klopp to do the needful to prevent this consistent dropping of points.
Although Liverpool who currently sit five points away from City and United at the top of the table can still catch up in the league, they have already missed out on wprogressing in one cup competition making it less likely for them to win any silverware this season.
"The story is really easy to explain," Klopp said. "We were much better in the first half but didn't score and we were unlucky.
"But as long as concede as we did today, it's difficult. That we concede like this makes me really, really sick."
Liverpool will be returning to face Leicester City in the Premier League this Saturday and if they fail to address their defensive troubles before then, the result could be worse.
Klopp will be chasing his first win in 5 games when he returns to the Premier League to face Leicester and would be desperate to mae his defence as hard and compact as rivals Manchester United who have only conceded two goals all season.
