Former Manchester United Captain Wayne Rooney has pleaded guilty to a charge of drink driving on Monday.
The Everton forward, 31, was banned from driving for two years and ordered to perform 100 hours of unpaid work as part of a 12-month community order.
Rooney was initially arrested by the Police after a night out while driving a black Volkswagen Beetle in Wilmslow, Cheshire, at 2am on 1 September.
Rooney made no comment when he arrived at Stockport magistrates court on Monday, a day after playing in Everton's 4-0 defeat against his former club Manchester United.
