Return of the Zlatan: Ibrahimovic to sign new deal with Man Utd this week

- Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reportedly agreed to sign a new deal with United.

- His wages may be reduced.

- Turned down a move to LA Galaxy.
According to reports from ESPN, Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is currently a free agent and also recovering from injury is set to sign a new contract with Manchester United this week.

The striker who has had an amazing recovery from his knee ligament injury has always remained close to United during his recuperation and Mourinho had always made known his desire to keep the player at the club not just because of the 28 goals he scored in all competitions last season but largely because of his winning mentality and overall influence in a dressing room that could really use a really big personality.

Whilst Ibrahimovic scored 17 goals in 28 appearances for United last season, the next highest goalscorers came in the form of Rashford and Mkhitaryan who scored 11 goals each last season and although Romelu Lukaku is now considered the club's main striker and is performing brilliantly along with fellow strikers Rashford and Martial, the addition of Ibrahimovic to the mix may just add that extra level of confidence required for the team to go on and win all trophies this season.

It's also worth noting that should Zlatan go on to sign this deal this week, it is expected that his wages would be relatively lower than what he was paid last season when he first joined United as a free agent. The prolific striker also previously turned down an offer from American Club LA Galaxy as he favoured remaining in Manchester over any other move.
