History was made on Sunday, as LeBron James led Cleveland Cavaliers to their first ever championship, in an epic win over Stephen Curry's Golden State Warriors. The Cavaliers defeated the Warriors, 93-89.
Cleveland had the lead by four points early in the third quarter as they fought to win Game 7. The 2 teams remained closely locked in a battle for the championship; as Warriors power forward, Draymond Green, dominated the court and led his team with 32 points. But the Cavaliers overtook the Warriors in the final nail-biting moments of Game 7 even after James got hurt.
The win marks Cleveland's first championship in any sport in 52 years since the Browns won the NFL title in 1964; and it also makes them the first team in history to win an NBA championship after falling behind, 3-1 in the Finals.
Clearly overwhelmed by his emotions, James fell to the floor, surrounded by his teammates, after the epic battle ended.
