After helping Belgium beat Norway 3-2 in a friendly match over the weekend, Eden Hazard addressed rumors that he was leaving Chelsea FC for Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking to media after the match, Eden insisted that he has no plans of signing for Paris Saint-Germain, and has hinted that he is not looking to leave Chelsea any time soon.
"PSG are not part of my plans," the 25-year-old began. "I have a contract until 2020, I feel good at Chelsea and I don't want to finish on a season like we had.
"Everything was complicated," he concluded. "It was difficult."
Hazard made the move to Stamford Bridge from LOSC Lille in 2012; and while he took his time to find his consistency in the Premier League, he was a key performer during the 2014-15 season as the Blues clinched the title under Jose Mourinho.
During that season, the attacker managed to score 14 goals and contribute nine assists for the Pensioners, cementing his status as one of the EPL's key performers.
However, his performance waned during the miserable 2015-16 season in which Chelsea FC failed to retain its EPL title. Eden scored just four goals and contributed three assists during the season.
Eden will be playing under new boss, Antonio Conte, in the new season.
