Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard has revealed that midfielder, N’Golo Kante will return from injury before the international break later this month. Kante has endured a frustrating season so far, with a couple of injuries limiting his game time.
The France international has not featured for Lampard’s side since their 4-1 win over Southampton in the Premier League at the start of October this year. The 28-year-old also missed Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Watford on Saturday, Lampard was quoted by Sport Review as saying: “Kante is hopefully going to join in training in the next two or three days. Hopefully, he will be back before the international break. Lampard added: “I would have liked to have given Jorginho and Kovacic a rest against Man United because of the work they are putting in. I couldn’t because of N’Golo, Ross and Ruben is long term. I couldn’t make those changes I wanted to but it is what it is I suppose.”
