Ogun State Governor Gives Two Reasons Why His Administration Started On A Slow Pace

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state has disclosed that his administration started at a slow pace because of the hostile transition caused by his predecessor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and the legal battles which trailed his election. “As we go on, you will find me more available than I’ve been in the past and the reason for that is very simple; the first few months of this administration, we spent in settling down and I do not need to remind us how hostile the takeover was and how turbulent the journey has been,” Abiodun said. He said after winning the election, also he had to win in court three times, while at the same time doing his best to meticulously choose the team that would work with him. The governor said he deliberately took his time to choose those who have the capacity and experience to help realise his vision for the state. Meanwhile, Governor Dapo Abiodun’s gubernatorial victory was upheld by the Supreme Court on Wednesday, December 18. The apex court threw away the suit filed against Governor Abiodun's victory by Adekunle Akinlade, the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement
