Sacked Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff and members of the party's National Working Committee (NWC), are planning to challenge their sack in court.
To this end, theyhave invited and assembled lawyers on how to go about it.
Sheriff and other members of NWC were sacked in Port Harcourt on Saturday at the party national convention and were replaced by caretaker committee headed by Ahmed Makarfi.
Sheriff and NWC members who were locked in a meeting till late hours of Sunday, were denied access to the party's national secretariat by policemen who sealed off the area.
The meeting, it was later gathered, was held in his Maitama residence in Abuja.
Former National Secretary, Professor Adewale Oladipo who had earlier promised to address the press by 4 p.m., was still expected until 8 p.m.
Addressing newsmen late on Sunday, the Special Adviser to Sheriff, Inuwa Bwala, said the meeting might end late in the night.
Bwala who described the decision at the National Convention in Port Harcourt as a nullity, said the sacked NWC members were locked in a meeting and have invited their lawyers to tell them on the next line of action.
He said: "The meeting is still going on and it may likely end late in the night.
"They are reviewing the situation and have invited their lawyers for their input and will commence action by Monday.
"The caretaker committee is a contraption. Go and check the PDP constitution there is nothing like caretaker committee there."
According to him, there was an attempt to vacate the court order stopping the convention at Federal High Court in Lagos before the Port Harcourt convention, which was not successful.
"What transpired in Port Harcourt was that four court papers were served on the chairman. Before we went to Port Harcourt he was not served.
"The orders were contradictory. He did not even have the time to study the court fourth order.
