The Edo state House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon Victor has been impeached by members of the House.
Newsmen learnt that his impeachment maybe connected with the abrupt ending of the local government tenure which was frowned at by Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
It was also gathered that Hon. Elizabeth representing Uhunmwonde Constituency in the House is now the new Speaker.
The impeachment followed a motion moved by the Majority Leader, Mr Folly Ogedemgbe (APC-Owan- East) and seconded by Mr Patrick Illuobe (PDP – Esan-North East).
"This is an impeachment notice signed by 16 members that the speaker Victor Edoroh and his deputy, are hereby impeached,'' Ogedemgbe said during the house sitting.
