Boko Haram: Nigerian Army rewards 37 gallant troops with promotions (full list)

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, has identified 37 officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army tackling the Boko Haram insurgency in the northeast for a special reward.
The 37 officers, according to PR Nigeria, were selected for special recognition after the assessment of the operations of troops fighting the Boko Haram insurgents. According to Aminu Iliyasu, the Nigerian Army Operations media coordinator, the officers listed for the reward will be given Special Letters of Commendation. It was also learnt that the soldiers will be given special promotions to their next higher ranks. It was also gathered that the recognition is also meant to encourage the rewarded soldiers and their colleagues to be more committed.

1. Brigadier General Olufemi Oluyede – Commander 27 Task Force Brigade
2. Brigadier General Ahmadu Mohammed – the immediate past Commander 26 Task Force Brigade Gwoza
