The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has called out a Nigerian Twitter user, Olushola Ishola, for spreading fake news. Ishola had in a tweet, alleged that the EFCC was about to unfreeze ex-first lady, Patience Jonathan's assets. But in a swift reaction, the anti-graft agency urged Nigerians to disregard the allegation. According to the EFCC, there is no truth in the claim. "Dear Olushola, You are a harbinger of #FakeNews. There is absolutely no truth in your "yet to be officially confirmed report. The public is hereby advised to kindly disregard this misinformation."
