'Where is Osinbajo' - Nigerians react as Abba Kyari takes bill to London for Buhari to sign
President Muhammadu Buhari government has come under attack following the recent signing of the amended Deep Offshore Act. Buhari signed the bill on Monday in London, stating that the amended Bill will generate at least $500m additional revenue for the Nigerian government.
According to reports, The Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari who took the bill to him in London, was with him when he signed the Act. This did not go down well with some Nigerians, as they posed questions about the function of the office of Vice President, Osinbajo. According to them, Osinbajo should have signed the bill, rather than have Abba Kyari take a trip to London.
Here are some comments gathered by Obiaksnews from Twitter:
Abba Kyari flew to London to give @MBuhari a piece of paper to sign.

Who is the most popular and powerful man in Buhari's administration?
Retweet for Abba Kyari 🔄 and Like ❤️ for Prof Yemi Osibanjo. pic.twitter.com/0upcZZh1z4
Why on earth would overzealous (oversabi) Malam Abba Kyari board an aircraft (highly likely with tax payers money) to London for the President (who is on a private leave) to sign a bill into law while fully knowing that the VP is around. Total disregard and disrespect to the VP.

The President is in London on a private visit, he didn't transfer power to his deputy. Abba Kyari travels all the way to London at Nigeria's expense just to give a piece of paper to the President to sign! Does that mean every memo will have to be taken to London...

Abba Kyari, the next power behind our throne after Mamman Daura in #Nigeria.

They are done with Osinbajo, a scaffolding material to give false 2023 hope to the Yorubas. Tinubu is the next on their list. Wait for it. pic.twitter.com/ECKRXYmnU2
So Abba Kyari flew all the way to London to give PMB documents to sign. I feel sorry for Osinbajo.

The constitution mandates the President to hand over to his Vice in acting capacity if he would be away.
If he's away for 21 days & fails to transmit power to the VP, the National Assembly shall vote to transfer power to the VP.
